Founder Arnun Wattanaporn studied hospitality management at the MNM Institute in Sydney and worked at The Grounds of Alexandria before opening with two friends in 2015. The name is Japanese for continuous improvement.
A contract roaster produces the Kaizen label, including the Five S Blend and New Horizons Blend, with single origins from Ethiopia, Kenya, and Indonesia alongside. The menu has since grown from coffee to meals served from breakfast through dinner.
