The name combines the nicknames of Rawi 'Pong' Kasemsuk and Pornpan 'Nes' Vipaphan, who worked in Sydney coffee shops for several years before opening in 2010. They started in a tiny shop on Moon Muang Soi 5, later moved to Ratchapakhinai Road, and are now on Inthawaroros Road in Si Phum. Beans come mainly from Northern Thailand, alongside Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and Pacamara from Central America.
On Inthawaroros Road in Si Phum, the bar opens through an opening with a roller door onto a gravel courtyard, in a low building clad in orange terracotta shingles. A long black-topped steel counter faces the entrance, with tasting cards and sample weights along it, and the espresso machines and grinders run along the back wall.
